**This is NOT a competition**

 

We’re wanting to open up our lip sync to anyone wanting to participate by removing the competition element. This is in hopes to make it less intimidating and more accessible for those just wanting to have a good time.

 

This is an all-ages event, so all performances must be all ages appropriate.

 

Song Selection:

 

Songs that have lyrics that are inappropriate in nature will not be allowed to be performed.

The following subject matter is prohibited:

• Lyrics with excessive violence

• Lyrics that are sexual in nature

  • Includes songs with suggestive noises

• Swearing

  • Damn, and shit are fine.

  • No other swears are allowed. Period.

• Songs that have derogatory language towards marginalized groups. This includes but is not limited to:

  • LGBTQIA+

  • People of color

• Songs that are about bullying or the exclusion of others

 

Songs will be cut off after 2 minutes. If you wish to start at a different timestamp than 0:00, please speak to the tech table before your performance.

 

Performance Guidelines:

 

• All costumes must adhere to The Penti-Con’s Approved Attire policies

• A maximum of 4 people may participate as a group

• You may not throw objects from the stage to the audience

• No acrobatics may be performed on the stage

• You may not jump off the stage

• Microphones will not be provided as there is no live  singing or talking during performances

• If weapons are being used for your performance, they must be peace-bonded

• Make sure to have fun!I

 

If your performance on stage breaks any of the event's rules, your music will be stopped and you will be asked to leave the stage.
